My feelings about Svitlana Nianio in the past week has moved from 'fascination' to 'deep admiration' in the space of 3-4 albums. I discovered her music under unfortunate circumstances of war in Ukraine but what she and her band members have created with this album will stay with me for a long long time
This is a lost album from 1995 that almost never had seen the light of day. It features Ukrainian musicians and their German producer/publisher collaborating with the goal of creating something very special. In the middle of the production, the musicians had parted ways and continued with their solo careers.
Nevertheless, the recordings subsequently had been trimmed into the format of an astonishing album that -caused by the uncertain status- had been shelved for the 25 years to follow.
Now So Healthy Music takes pride in announcing the arrival of an unsung classic that doesn't sound like anything else.
Created, performed, and recorded by Nianio, GeeNerve & Taran at SHM Studio, Rhenania Bayenwerft, Cologne in January, February, and November of 1995.

2004 it had been re-branded as a web label.
So Healthy Music for the most part is about releases of historical/archival material. Given the diversity of personalities and the time period being in consideration, there are no limits or restrictions on musical style whatsoever....more

The tracks from this on the original Obscure release in the mid-70s, particularly "All Day," really opened my ears as a composer (as did much of the rest of the discs on that label). They sound even better here, along with other tracks of theirs. The release also includes PDFs of several scores, which are a great resource. Joseph Zitt

This monumental recording, created behind the Iron Curtain in the perestroika era, combines minimalism, drone music and improvisation based on electrified violins and amplified household objects, showcasing a Ukrainian violinist’s extraordinary creativity.
